Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the thumbs.work app and website. By using thumbs.work you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

The app

thumbs.work is a calculator that works like a notepad. You may use it for anything lawful. You own everything you write in it. We don’t claim any rights over your documents.

Accounts

An account is optional and exists so your documents and settings can sync across your devices. Sign-in is by emailed link — there is no password to lose. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email address secure. You can sign out any device from the account page, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by writing to support@thumbs.work.

Free plan and thumbs.work Pro

thumbs.work is free to use and keeps one document at no charge. Sync between your devices, every colour theme, and import/export are free too — thumbs.work Pro is an auto-renewing subscription whose only effect is to remove the document limit. It is offered in two durations:

• Monthly — $2.99 USD per month.
• Yearly — $19.99 USD per year.

Prices are in US dollars and may differ in your local currency and region; the exact price is always shown before you confirm a purchase.

Billing and renewal

Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Payment is charged on confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and duration unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel a subscription, including turning off auto-renew, in your device’s account settings after purchase. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s policies — we can’t issue them directly.

If a subscription ends

Your documents are never deleted, hidden, or locked because a subscription lapsed. Everything you created stays readable, editable, and exportable. You simply can’t create new documents beyond the free limit until you subscribe again.

Acceptable use

Don’t use thumbs.work to break the law, to infringe someone else’s rights, or to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend an account that does.

No warranty

thumbs.work is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make the calculator correct, but you should independently verify anything that matters — financial, medical, structural, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that can’t be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we’ll say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use thumbs.work after a change means you accept the updated terms.
